Team Liquid has been putting on a show of absolute domination as of late. The North American squad showed that their form still stands in its absolute peak by winning five best-of-one matches in a row at BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles.

Expertise on a variety of maps
What adds to the wow factor of their winning streak at BLAST Los Angeles is the fact that all the matches were played on entirely different maps.
Team Liquid played against Renegades, FaZe Clan, MIBR, NRG, and Cloud9. The team dismantled all their opponents without too much trouble on Vertigo, Nuke, Mirage, Overpass, and Inferno, respectively.
Their biggest win was, surprisingly, against FaZe Clan. Coming into the tournament as arguably the second favorites behind Team Liquid, Nuke turned into a complete nightmare for FaZe. The international squad failed to grab any round on the counter-terrorist side while only taking four rounds as the terrorists. Therefore, the score was 16-4 for the North American team, a result that couldn’t have been predicted by many.

Team Liquid’s rise continues
Following a very confident showing at ESL One Cologne — where not only did Liquid win the tournament, but also the Intel Grand Slam — the team is showing all signs of their fantastic run to continue well into 2019. Naturally, the team has yet to win BLAST Pro Series in Los Angeles. However, seeing the sheer domination across many maps that Liquid has presented, there really is no other favorite at the tournament. Upholding the #1 spot on the global rankings, the team has been making this their era ever since the arrival of Jake “Stewie2K” Yip into the lineup.

I like to give out free AK-47 headshots in CS: GO, spend some quality time in the kitchen marinating a tender chicken breast and approximately 3 times a week I lift some relatively heavy metal stuff at the gym. Oh, and I also like to write about e-sports and everything related to gaming. Who knew one could have such contrasting interests?
